ABOUT THE ARTIST Graduated in Performing Arts History and Management, Jadine C. is an Italian self-taught doll maker.
She began sculpting papier maché and salt dough sculptures when she was just a little kid.
As a teenager she became highly skilled in salt dough sculptures, but finding she was affected by celiac disease (gluten allergy) she was forced to give up sculpting and devoted to other crafts like sewing and rag dolls making. Polymer clay was practically unknown in Italy at that time.
Very interested in fairies, pixies and other fantasy creatures as vampires, in 2006, browsing the Internet, she discovered the beautiful word of OOAK Sculptures and decided to give it a try herself.
Her favourite subjects are fairies and vampires and all of her creatures have a kind of gloomy mood.
Many of her creatures are inspired from art.
She's particularly devoted to Pre-Raphaelites painters and Italian Renaissance Art, but takes also inspirations from well-known fairy artists such as Rackham, C. M. Barker, B. Froud and many others.
Now and then she still crafts some gothic rag dolls inspired to Shakespearean characters or fairy tales.

OOAK POLYMER CLAY ART DOLLS One of A Kind polymer clay art dolls are in fact sculptures, figurines completely hand sculpted in polymer clay without the use of mould at any stage of the creative process.
Each doll is really unique.
These sculptures are modelled over a wire armature and - even if they are very small (the range is from 3 to 13 inches) they are painstakingly detailed: from facial features to nails.
